SARDA Interoperable Training – Practical 2018

SARDA & CFA (Country Fire Authority) B-platoon Dandenong CFA combined in our practical Hazmat awareness as a part of our 2018 Interagency Operational Preparedness Course with theory & practical over the last two weeks. Thank you to CFA Hallam Hazmat Instructors Leading Firefighter Marcel Van Elmpt and Firefighter Adam Lutz who presented the practical for our teams. Each team was presented with a search scenario with the find being contained simulating the dog & handler being exposed to hazardous material. The teams were then introduced to the decontamination area with both fireys & handlers assisting in the process of managing their dogs wellbeing. Another great experience for both agencies & we look forward our continued interoperability in 2018.
